Music Animations & Social Campaigns

Music has and will always be an incredibly important aspect of my life. These animations celebrate that love No matter the scale or reach of the artist I find creating these small sequences incredibly fulfilling. It is my intention to create many more in the future

Chris Shifflett

Rock legend Chris Shiflett is best known as a member of the 'Foo Fighters' 'No Use for a name and 'Me first and the gimmie gimmies' He is also a recording artist in his own right. This short animation was created to accompany his album 'Lost at sea' (released in 2023)

The Hives

Swedish rock gods 'The Hives' released their album The death of Randy Fitzsimmons' in 2023. This short Instagram was created to accompany the song 'Count Down to Shutdown' The animation production was completed in rapid time. Concepted animated and edited in one day.

However the original version of the video was cut to the song 'Bogus Operandi' from the same album. I was pleased with the outcome of the animation, however the intro to the song (and therefore my portraits) proved to be too long for the attention span of casual instagram viewers. No one was getting to the fun part! I quickly changed focus and re-worked the animation to address this issue.

Nike React

Although not music related the work I undertook for Nike is worth including in this section. Nike approached a number of animators and artists to create instagram stories to contribute to the launch of 'Nike React' trainers. Teaming up with fellow animator Danny barnes we created a number of concepts focussing on how incredibly light the shoes are. The final animation was specifically targeted towards Ireland for the retailer 'Life Style Sports'

Old Chase

I was approached by the band 'Old Chase' to create this video for the launch of their album 'The Dizzy Heights of Yesterday' Based on a dream experienced by Lead singer Tom Lattimer. The animation depicts a chaotic skate punk scenario inside the belly of a grotesque sea creature.

Eat The Evidence

Working with the Band 'Eat the Evidence' I was instrumental in shaping the early identity of the band. This animation served as an introduction to the bands debut album 'Sex Drugs And Wishy Washy Politics'.
